This is our handmade Scottish Thistle wedding ring in 9ct white gold.
It is 5mm wide and made from a heavy court band.

The thistle was adopted as the emblem of Scotland in the 13th century.
It was said that an army from Norway intent on conquering the Scots landed on the coast
in the night and order to move more quietly the Norsemen removed their boots.
However one of the men stood on a thistle and shouted in pain,
this woke the Scots who then defeated the Norwegians.
